AI Disclosure
How RoadMatch uses artificial intelligence, what it can get wrong, and what you must check before repeating it to a customer.
Effective September 1, 2026RoadMatch uses AI, and we want you to know exactly where
Several parts of RoadMatch are powered by artificial intelligence, including third-party large language models and vision models. We publish this disclosure so nobody is misled about how the product works or how far it can be trusted.
- Search understanding — turning a sentence a customer said into structured requirements.
- Photograph reading — vision models look at your listing photographs to describe interiors, finishes, and layout.
- Matching and ranking — scoring which units best fit the stated requirements.
- Summaries — short descriptions of why a unit was matched.
AI output can be wrong
AI systems produce probable answers, not verified facts. RoadMatch output can be incomplete, out of date, or simply incorrect. It can misread a photograph, miss a feature that is present, report a feature that is not, or rank a unit higher than a person would.
We build guardrails — for example, the Finder is designed not to describe an interior it has not actually looked at — but no guardrail makes AI output reliable enough to repeat to a customer unchecked.
Your obligation to verify
You and your salespeople must independently confirm anything that matters before stating it to a customer, putting it in writing, or relying on it in a sale. That includes:
- Price, payment, fees, and any figure quoted to a buyer.
- Whether the unit is physically on your lot and available for sale.
- Specifications, sleeping capacity, weights, towing figures, and dimensions.
- Interior finishes, colours, materials, and included equipment.
- Condition, damage, title, lien, warranty, and recall status.
A match shown in RoadMatch is a starting point for a conversation, not a representation about a vehicle. Statements your dealership makes to a consumer are your dealership's statements, and advertising and disclosure laws apply to them regardless of which tool produced the first draft.
Automated decisions
RoadMatch does not make credit, financing, pricing, employment, or eligibility decisions, and it must not be used to make them. It ranks inventory for a salesperson to review. A human always decides what to show and what to say.
How your data is used with AI providers
To provide these features, listing content and search text are sent to our AI providers for processing. Our providers are listed on the Subprocessors page.
We do not sell your data, and we do not permit our AI providers to use your Customer Data to train their general-purpose models. Do not enter information into a search box that you would not want processed by a third-party AI provider — including consumer financial details, government identifiers, or health information.
Marketing claims
Any demonstration, example match, score, or figure shown in RoadMatch marketing is illustrative. It is not a performance guarantee, not a typical result, and not a projection of what your dealership will achieve.
